A DANGEROUS man who left a woman with life changing injuries after attacking her with an axe has pleaded guilty to attempted murder.

Anthony McDonald, 56, of Ascot Avenue, Cantley, Doncaster, was charged with attempted murder at Hull Crown Court

and remanded into custody following the incident in Goole on Wednesday, April 3. Appearing at court last week, admitting what he had done McDonald pleaded guilty to the offence.

Humberside Police say that on the day at about 5.25pm, they began receiving reports from concerned members of the public that a woman was being attacked in the street with an axe by McDonald.
