Easingwold Brass Beginners

Easingwold Brass Beginners is held on Friday evening from 6.30 – 8pm at the band room, croft close in Easingwold. There are 2 tutors from York university and experienced band members on hand to help. No playing experience is necessary. This is designed for total beginners. All ages welcome.

Would you like to learn to play a brass instrument?  Or perhaps you wish you had?  Or maybe you’d like to build on what you’re learning at school?

Here’s your chance — and you don’t necessarily have to be young.  Can’t read music?  Don’t worry, we’re assuming everyone in our Beginners’ Club will be starting from scratch. As long as you can find the time to do some practice at home — as little as ten minutes every day — you’re likely to surprise yourself with your progress.  And the more you progress, the more fun it gets.

We’ll need a minimum number of participants to get Easingwold Brass Beginners’ Club started, so if you’re interested, let us have your contact details — email address, mobile phone or landline number.  You can email us at, or phone/text 07770 721937 Bill Cleghorn at the Town Band.  We’re looking at Friday evening or Sunday morning for rehearsals, depending on what will suit participants best.
