Tyler talks to Chris and the breakfast crew about the types of diabetes, and who may be affected. There are 22,756 people in York alone who are living with the disease and this is one reason the YO1 Radio are doing their Pounds for Pounds event to raise funds as well as awareness.

Through exercise and healthy eating it is possible to reverse Type 2 diabetes and the charity works to raise funds for research into the causes of the disease and also campaigning to try and get new technology available for all and not just people in certain postcodes.

People do all sorts of things to raise funds for the charity and Tyler explains how seeing people who raise money whilst dealing with the disease are inspirational to her and others
