Our radio journalism section will teach you the various ways and techniques of investigative journalism.

BACKGROUND of our work Experience programme
Chris Marsden is an experienced radio professional and has been involved within professional radio since 1991. He is a twice Sony award winning radio programmer and worldwide known voice actor for many big brand companies such as Nike, Sony, Amazon, Paramount Pictures and more
Chris’s career is highly recognised across the industry including GWR, TLRC, UKRD, BBC, Gcap, Bauer, Global and Wireless Group. He has lead a hugely successful career, as both a broadcaster and management, holding positions as Managing Director and Programming Director, as well as Head of Creative and Voice Coaching
Chris is passionate about radio, the position that radio plays across all communities and believes that radio has a crucial part to play in all our lives
Group courses are limited to 16 placements at 8 people per session, with sessions held twice a week Monday 9am to 1pm and Friday 9am to 1pm. Courses are for a fixed term of 8 weeks and will go towards your work experience tally required for your corresponding course. Total cost of enrichment course with work experience award certificate, demonstraion showreel and name on the wall of fame is £600 paid in advance, this is to cover facilities hire, insurance and administrative costs.
We can also bring The YO1 Radio Academy to your school or college with a full day of experience and an educational programme for selected pupils, students or class.
