The Haxby Walk got us in a festive mood!

Last Sunday saw a lovely walk around Haxby and Wigginton for a great worthwhile charity, Bereaved Children's Support. The local butcher set everything up for it including butties and cuppas to start everyone off! YO1 Radio were delighted to be a part of the action and I even ended up Djing afterwards in Haxby Sports Bar! Again it included a good old raffle with super prizes from local businesses and that included lots of bottles of alcohol plus of course a meat voucher from Bromwich Butchers! It was free to walk and the refreshments at the start were free - the amount raised was over £1600 from the raffle and generous donations from walkers on the day. What a community spirit in Haxby - I bet they are smiling from ear to ear. Big well done to Harry Bromwich and his idea. It really got me feeling festive and out early doors too.
