yesterday I went to visit the lovely ladies of Breast Friends York at their Heart Pillow making workshop. These beautiful pillows are for patients who have just had a mastectomy or Lumpectomy at York Hospital. Placed ready for after the operation they bring comfort and the knowing that you are not alone - as a poem, small heart and hug tag are added. They can aid with sitting, lying and even car driving (seatbelt comfort) whilst also showing that you are not alone. Zoe Bounds of BFY even got me helping out too!
