Do you know how many different animals live in your garden? Would you like to learn more about them and how to encourage more to visit?
Every year, Stillingfleet Lodge Gardens opens its doors to a team of wildlife experts who search through the garden to find the wildlife that makes this garden their home. The 2021 Annual Family Wildlife Day will be taking place on Sunday 27th June between 11:00 and 17:00.
This year you will be able to take part in the following activities:
• Camouflaged frog hunt
• Spider safari
• Bird-ringing demonstration
• Bumble-bee walks
• Pond dipping
• Play the recycling game
• Owl pellet dissection
• Brass rubbings
• Butterfly identification walks
There will also be experts available to talk about bats, hedgehogs, trees, the Yorkshire countryside and much more. These experts will be providing top tips on how to encourage wildlife into your garden and there will be books available to buy as well as some freebies.
The tea room will be open for light refreshments. Whilst advanced family tickets are available, you do not need to book in advance.

In addition to the visiting wildlife experts, you will be able to talk to garden owner Vanessa Cook about the garden and the best plants to buy for wildlife.
