L.I.A.M is a small Ryedale charity based in Terrington. It was set up in 2016 following the tragic death of 19 year Liam Miller, a talented artist and musician. Liam attended Malton School and 6th Form and went on to study at York College.
The charity supports underprivileged young people (18 -25) studying Art or Music providing equipment, such as laptops, cameras and funding other course expenses.
Holding regular fundraising events one of the most popular being the acoustic gigs held once a month at the village hall in Terrington – LIAM’s Acoustic Club. However these haven’t been possible since lockdown and unfortunately aren’t a viable option just yet.
Instead there have been 15 online live streams that go directly onto the Charity Facebook page. There are 2 this week – 15 year old Maggie Wakeling on Thursday and The Bootleggers on Saturday.
