Mental Health Network event, 29 Aug 2020, @1pm (open air event)

Freenation are holding it’s first Mental Health Network  (  (

The event is to support people that are mentally stressed with the New Normal regimes, like mask wearing and social distancing, and offers coping strategies for adults and children.

Also on offer is a community support network, helping everyone through these unprecedented times with planned projects like gardening, foraging, mindfulness, off grid living etc.


Rowntree Park, York  (open air event)

Meeting 29th Aug 2020  @1pm. – opposite the children’s area

Estimated running time 1pm – 4pm

Parking available at the car park at the Terry Avenue entrance.

Cost: Free

Toilets in Rowntree Park cafe

There will be mini sessions on Reiki, Meditation, Yoga, plus small discussions on children, mental health and mindfulness and managing stress, plus an opportunity for people to share their own story in the speakers corner about how the New Normal has impacted  mental health in these last 5 months.

The York 5G Awareness Group are also attending and have kindly agreed to do a 5-10 talk on 5G and its effect on mental and physical health.

There will also be Orgonite products stall.

Running order for Saturday (subject to change, more a guide than anything else!!)

1pm – Gather Rowntree Park, @1pm (opposite the children’s area)

1.15pm – intro, few words from me!

1.30pm – Brief Yoga session (SJ)

1.45pm – Speaker’s corner for people to speak about their experiences (I can facilitate)

2.15pm – Intro to Reiki, mediation (Sarah F)

2.45pm – 5G Awareness Group

3.00pm – Children, mental health, mindfulness (Beej)

3.15pm – Speakers corner 2 – tell us how the lockdown affected your mental health

3.30pm – Managing stress (Katie)

3.45pm- Close or whenever people want to float off
