Street Angels York have adopted the last remaining red phone box in York and fitted a defibrillator in it, after discussing what could be done with money which has been kindly donated to the charity. The defibrillator is located in the phone box in Duncombe Place.

Although they are not required with the current situation regarding Coronavirus they still wanted to do something for the community of York.

Street Angels York is a Church-led initiative , a project of One Voice and   Churches together in York.

Street Angels York is made up of volunteers who want to help make York city centre a safer and better place. Male and female volunteers walk the city streets into the early hours on Friday and Saturday nights caring for, practically helping and listening to people, especially those in vulnerable or difficult situations.

They would like to thank York BID for their support in providing the signage and keeping the phone box tidy, and Stuart from First Aid Skills & Training for his help in purchase and installation.
