Appeal for dash cam footage following attempted burglary near Thirsk

Officers are appealing for anyone who was travelling along the A19 last night (Monday 6 February) at around 11.20pm near to Thirkelby, Thirsk to contact them.

An attempted burglary had just taken place at a nearby property and at the same time, witnesses reported seeing a car parked up at the side of the A19 between Easingwold and Thirsk with hazard lights on.

Officers are keen to trace the driver of that vehicle as they may hold important information which could be of use to the investigation. They’d also like to speak to any other drivers who were travelling along the road at that time who may have captured dash cam footage of the vehicle by the side of the road.
