Anyone looking for work, support with training or getting new qualifications is invited to the latest York Jobs Fair on Tuesday 11 March.
The popular event will be held at York Barbican from 1-6pm and will showcase representatives from 50 employers including Aviva, GMI Construction, Pearltech, Rack Systems (Engineering) Limited and Yorkshire Housing.
A range of presentations will run throughout the day including providing information on apprenticeships, support for job seekers aged over 50, creative tech opportunities and jobs and training opportunities in the army.
Cllr Pete Kilbane, Deputy Leader of the Council and Executive Member for Economy and Culture, with responsibility for Skills, said:
“York Jobs Fairs are always incredibly popular with job seekers and employers alike. Over 1,000 people attended last year’s fair at the Barbican and our events have a strong track record of connecting local people with local job opportunities.
“I’d urge anyone who’s looking for a job or who wants a change of career to come along and get a flavour of the wide range of jobs on offer”.
