Renowned violinist Matt Glossop is delighted to be performing at Selby Abbey this Christmas to perform an evening of festive classics accompanied by live ballet performances and his Bloomsbury Musicians.
Christmas Greetings LIVE! promises to be a heartwarming and joyous evening set amidst the twinkling trees and candles at Selby Abbey on 18th December 2024.
Those attending will enjoy Christmas tunes from Home Alone (Somewhere In My Memory), Love Actually (Glasgow Theme) plus excerpts from The Snowman including 'Walking in the Air', along with classical favourites 'Winter' from Vivaldi's Four Seasons and themes from The Nutcracker. Not forgetting the classic Christmas songs by Nat King Cole, Bing Crosby & Michael Bublé!
This year Matt is delighted to be sharing the stage with two exceptional ballerinas who have studied at the world renowned Bolshoi Ballet Academy and perform regularly with the Northern Ballet. Matt has an exciting and diverse schedule including performing on records for Sony Music, collaborating with Universal Record Artists, and performing on stage with other legendary musicians such as Andrew Lloyd Webber, Burt Bacharach and Il Divo. He has performed with mainstream pop artists on national television from Strictly Come Dancing to Songs of Praise, and most recently made a movie appearance in the British period drama film, Belle and the upcoming Netflix drama 'The House of Guinness'.
