An appeal is being launched by North Yorkshire Police to locate the driver who injured a pedestrian in York.

On Monday, February 27, 2023, at around 7.25 p.m., police are looking for anybody who may have seen a person and a car collide on Lawrence Street across from the bus stop at St. Lawrence Church Community Hall.

The pedestrian, who was attempting to cross the road was struck by a vehicle.

The vehicle didn't stop at the scene and enquiries are ongoing to trace the driver and the vehicle. Luckily, numerous members of the public stopped to help.

The weather was drizzly at the time the incident occurred.
