Appeal after two 19-year-old women spat at in York

North Yorkshire Police are appealing for information regarding an assault that took place in York.

The incident occurred at 9.15pm on Wednesday 12 February 2025, on a bridge between Foss Island and Palmer/Carmelite Street.

An unknown suspect spat at two 19-year-old female victims.

The suspect is described as a white male, in his mid-20s, approximately 6 feet tall, with a slim build and light or short/bald hair. He is also described as having a Yorkshire accent, a large nose, gappy/bad teeth and a distinctive swaying walk.

He was wearing a grey puffer jacket, black joggers, and black trainers.
