North Yorkshire Police are seeking to locate a potential witness to a violent incident that occurred on Portland Street in York.

The incident took place at 8.45pm on Tuesday 30 July 2024. The witness is believed to have witnessed the assault and assisted the victim in getting home afterwards.

During the incident, the victim was approached by a group of males who assaulted him by punching.

If you have any information or were in the area at the time, please come forward and help us with our investigation.
