Police investigating a robbery at the One Stop shop on Dodsworth Avenue in York have arrested a 41-year-old man and a 41-year-old woman in connection with the incident.
It happened at around 8.40pm on Friday (29 September 2023) when two masked suspects made threatened staff before making off with cigarettes. No weapons were seen or used in the offence.
The suspects have been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
A 44-year-old man was also arrested. Following questioning, he was released with no further action taken.
Witnesses or anyone with information that could assist the investigation are asked to make a report to 101, option 4.
