Police have made three arrests at two separate addresses in York, after receiving information about the suspected importation of illegal drugs.
On the afternoon of 11 March, North Yorkshire Police officers attended a property in the Foxwood area the city. A search of the premises located suspected drugs, a large quantity of cash, and tools associated with illegal drugs.
A man in his 30s and a woman in her 20s were arrested on suspicion of importing Class B drugs, and possessing Class A drugs with intent to supply. They have been released on bail as our enquiries continue.
Yesterday morning, 12 March, officers went to a property in Clifton. Once more, a search of the address located suspected drugs, cash, and tools. A man in his 20s was arrested on suspicion of importing Class B drugs. He has been released under investigation.
A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police said: “Those involved in the importation or supply of illegal drugs in York or North Yorkshire should expect to be identified, located and brought to justice. Their actions bring nothing but misery and suffering to our communities.
