Man attacked in York on Saturday evening - did you see anything?

North Yorkshire Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage after a man suffered serious head injuries during an assault in York

It happened on Lead Mill Lane at around 6.40pm on Saturday 24 August.

The victim, a man in his forties, was riding a cycle and was attacked by a man and a woman, believed to have travelled to and from the area in a white vehicle.

The police are appealing to anyone walking in the area at the time and motorists, who saw the assault, the cyclist, the suspects or a white vehicle, or has captured the incident on dashcam, to get in touch. Along with anyone else who has any information that could assist the investigation.

The victim was taken to hospital for treatment and later discharged.
