Did you witness a damage-only collision on the A63 between Hambleton and Monk Fryston on Friday 10 February?
It happened at around 9.30am and resulted in a silver Vauxhall Meriva people carrier crashing down a small embankment and into a field causing significant damage to the vehicle.
The driver reported an unknown vehicle had pulled out while he was overtaking a slow-moving tractor. He said he had to take emergency action to avoid hitting the vehicle.
The other vehicle did not stop at the scene and enquiries are ongoing to trace the driver and the vehicle.
