Two women sought by police after purse theft in York

North Yorkshire Police have issued these CCTV stills of two women they would like to speak to following a theft of a purse at ALDI, Monks Cross, York.

It happened at 4.30pm on Wednesday 10 July and involved two women suspects.

One was distracting the victim and the other put her hand in the victim's handbag, stealing her purse.

The purse stolen was a small, pink, leather purse that had three bank cards in it, around £50 in cash and a driving licence.

Please contact the police if you recognise the two women pictured on the CCTV stills, as they may have information that will assist our investigation.
