York manner or driving and public order incident

North Yorkshire Police

North Yorkshire Police are appealing for information about a suspected manner of driving complaint and public order offence in York near the A1237.

It happened on Wednesday 12 March 2025 at around 8.30am and involved a Renault people carrier being forced to move over to the left on the A1237 while another car, a black Audi, forced their way in when two lanes become one.

The driver of the Audi is then reported to have followed the Renault and whilst both vehicles were stationary at the level crossing on Millfeild Lane, the driver of the Audi has exited their vehicle and made threats towards the Renault driver and punched the window of the car.

As well as witnesses, the police are particularly appealing for any dashcam footage of this incident.
