A “brave and relentless” author has died following years documenting her battle with dementia.

Wendy Mitchell, who previously lived in York, recorded her experiences with the syndrome on her blog for a decade.

Her final post was published posthumously by the 68-year-old’s daughters on Thursday (February 22).

“If you’re reading this, it means this has probably been posted by my daughters as I’ve sadly died,” it said.

Mother-of-two Ms Mitchell from Beverley was diagnosed with early onset dementia aged 58 in 2014.
