Humberside say the BMW driver who died in a crash in South Cave on Wednesday (January 8) has been named by his family as 59-year-old John Cartmell.
Speaking of their loss, John’s family said: “John was a loving son, father, brother, partner, uncle, friend, and devoted grandad who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
“He was so loved, and he enjoyed nothing more than being with his family or playing a round of golf. There are no words to express how greatly he will be missed.”
John’s family continue to be supported by specially trained officers and have asked for privacy at this difficult time.
A police spokesman said. "The crash happened at about 3.10pm, and officers were called to reports of a single-vehicle crash on the A1034 southbound carriageway opposite the slip road for the A63 in South Cave.
