A NORTH Yorkshire school has been forced to close its doors because of the weather.

• More than half of ambulance patients waited 30 minutes or longer to be handed to accident and emergency teams at a York hospital trust in one week, new figures show.

• A YORK beck has bust it's banks in a popular park.

  A combination of snowmelt and heavy rain has meant that Osbaldwick Beck has burst its banks, flooding Hull Road Park.

• A woman in her 40s was found dead at a home in York, police said.

  Officers and paramedics were called to the scene in Tang Hall at about 9.45am yesterday (Sunday, January 5).
