A police cordon is in place in York city centre in Parliament Street close to the entrance to the City of York Council car park.

The riverside entrance to the riverside acces to the Coppergate Centre has been taped off with a police scene guard in place.

The pedestrian entrance to the Coppergate Centre is closed.
