The Environment Agency has flood warnings in place for riverside properties in York, Naburn Lock and St George’s Field car park.
A fourth warning for the river Ure at Boroughbridge caravan park has been downgraded.
Based on current predictions the river Ouse at the Viking recorder will peak at 3.69m above normal at 12.30am today (November 25) and compares with 4.39m on January 3 this year.
The highest recorded level at this point on the Ouse was 5.40 metres in November 2000.
An Environment Agency spokesperson said: “River levels are continuing to rise in response to heavy rainfall associated with Storm Bert.
“Flooding of properties and low lying land is expected today (Monday). Flooding has affected properties on King's Staith in York and riverside areas through York from Lendal Bridge to Millennium Bridge.
“Showers are expected on Monday and river levels will continue to rise and peak on Monday.
“We are operating the Foss Barrier and we have closed flood gates through York. We will continue to monitor levels closely. Start acting on your flood plan.
