TWO entrepreneurs who run popular attractions in York are spreading their wings with plans to launch their 'biggest and most immersive' venture yet.

Ben Fry and Phil Pinder are to open a new wizard-themed attraction in Leeds just two years after making TV history by turning down a £200K investment from Peter Jones on the BBC One series Dragons' Den.

The business partners behind York-based Potions Cauldron Group expect to open the Hole in Wand Wizard Golf Leeds in St John’s Centre in late summer, boasting an indoor mini golf attraction and a Potions Cauldron apothecary with space for potion-making workshops and adult cocktail classes.

The news follows the announcement that Potions Cauldron has created a range of soft, sugar-free drinks inspired by MARVEL superheroes, including Iron Man Reactor Red Fruits, Captain America Super-Soldier Blue Grape and Hulk Gamma Sour Lime.

The company also has The Potions Cauldon in Shambles, York, and another in Edinburgh, the Potions Express refreshment kiosk at York Railway Station, as well as the Hole in Wand Wizard Golf in York, Blackpool, Chester and at Dalton Park.
