YORK campaigners have welcomed a decision by a national transport body that withdrew controversial plans for a footbridge over railway lines.

  The former TK Maxx site, which fronts onto Coney Street and Market Street, comes with a £5.5 million price tag – and is thought to be one of the most expensive properties marketed in York this year.
