Ollie Tanner, a winger for Cardiff City, has been signed on a loan by York City FC until the conclusion of the current campaign.
The 20-year-old joined the Championship side in the summer of 2022 after a hugely impressive season in the Isthmian league with Lewes.
Having enjoyed spells in the academies of both Arsenal and Charlton Athletic, Tanner completed his development at Bromley where he broke into the first team squad.
Having made the switch to Lewes and putting in a number of eye-catching performances during the 2021/22 season, he was monitored by numerous higher division clubs before making the switch to the Bluebirds where he has made two first team appearances, including his substitute appearance against Leeds United in the third round of the FA Cup.
On completing his second signing as York City manager, David Webb said: “We’re delighted to welcome Ollie on loan until the end of the season.
“He is a player I’ve known for a long time and I have followed his progress closely. I know Mark Hudson well, and he gave us a glowing character recommendation to combine with his football talent.
“I think he will add variety to our attack and is also an exciting player who I’m sure the fans will enjoy watching.”
