York City FC are preparing to take on Southend United this Saturday.

The Minstermen will be hoping to build on their impressive mid-week 1-1 draw against Chesterfield, when a late Mitch Hancox equaliser secured the points being shared. The visitors tomorrow sit 8th in the National League, only one place above City. However, Southend are unbeaten in their last seven league matches, meaning that they could be formidable opposition for John Askey’s men. In any case, York will be looking to win all three points on Saturday to propel them up the table and back into a play-off position.
