City have failed to win any of their opening six matches, and sit in 23rd position in the National League following a summer transfer window that saw seventeen new signings come into the club.

The club have wished Mikey Morton the best and have offered him a role internally, and are awaiting his response. York have begun the process of recruiting a new first team manager, and assistant manager Tony McMahon will take charge in the meantime.
