York City Sign Junior Luamba on Loan from Salford City

Luamba joins up with the Minstermen for the remainder of the season.

The 21-year-old forward began his career at Oldham Athletic where he moved up through the youth ranks to earn himself a spot in the first team. Through his time with the Latics he scored two goals in 32 appearances in League Two as well as the National League.

In 2023 Junior earned himself a move to Salford City where he has gone on to make 37 appearances in all competitions, getting six goal contributions in that time.

Speaking on his arrival, manager Adam Hinshelwood said “He's a different option for us with his pace and power.

"Junior's a really exciting prospect,  he will give us a new dimension in the wide areas".
