York Knights RLFC have a break from league action on Sunday, as they prepare to face Sheffield Eagles in the Challenge Cup.

Andrew Henderson’s men were heavily defeated in the league by an excellent top-of-the-table Featherstone Rovers side last time out, and will welcome a break from the Betfred Championship, after they dropped to ninth position. However, despite a strong few showings in the Challenge Cup so far, this fixture is likely to prove more challenging.

Sheffield Eagles play in the same division as the Knights, but sit third in the table and are enjoying a strong start to the season. Ahead of the match, the Knights have confirmed the signing of Leeds Rhino's forward Oli Field on a one month loan deal.

The twenty year old forward has represented England at underage level, and has previously represented the likes of Batley Bulldogs, Oldham and Cornwall. Boss Andrew Henderson had this to say ahead of the Knights' cup tie on Sunday:
