Young half back, Jack Potter will remain with York RLFC for 2025

Jack Potter, York RLFC

The 20-year old, who arrived last year after progressing through Hull KR’s Academy and into the reserves, has agreed a new deal.

Potter made two appearances in a York shirt last year, firstly in the narrow 22-18 home defeat by Widnes, and then at Odsal against Bradford Bulls, where he kicked four goals in the 36-28 defeat.

He also made six appearances for dual registration partners, Newcastle Thunder in League 1.

Head coach, Mark Applegarth is delighted to keep him for another season.

"Jack Potter is another great youngster in our squad," he said.

"In my tenure, he got a chance against Bradford in difficult circumstances and I thought he handled himself very well.

"He’s a very likeable member of the squad and he loves a bit of banter with everybody. He’s got a heart of gold.

"It's another big year for him and I’m looking forward to seeing him develop even more."
