A MAN has been arrested following a police chase through North and East Yorkshire in snow and icy conditions.
North Yorkshire Police say that as the temperature plummeted to about -10C in some parts of the county on Thursday night (November 22) at about 1.45am a roads policing officer spotted a van parked on a rural road at Flixton near Filey.

Three young men spent the equivalent of a six-month prison sentence behind bars because they were “nosy” and curious about the summer riots, York Crown Court heard.
All three were arrested and have been in prison on remand ever since.
