HERE'S YOUR CHANCE TO 'ASK THE LEADERS'

If you live in York, you'll be only too aware that you pay your Council Tax to the City of York Council.

As it's YOU who are paying the bills, you have the right to ask questions of those who make the decisions on your behalf.

This coming FRIDAY, YO1 Radio is looking forward to welcoming two senior politicians from the Council - the Leader of the Council, Cllr Claire Douglas, and the Deputy Leader Cllr Pete Kilbane.

We've got loads of questions to ask them - but we'd really like YOU to let us know what YOU'D like us to ask them on your behalf.

It could be about the new budget proposals, which are likely to see your Council Tax rise again this year by just short of 5%. It could be plans to increase parking charges across the city, or to put a 'tourist tax' in place for visitors to the City. It could be about how the Council proposes to deal with pothole repairs or other road works. Or it could be ANY other subject.

Jonathan Cowap will be asking the questions - and we'll feature some of the answers on his Morning Edition next week - and in a full length podcast on our website.
