After being in conversations with Minstermen chairman Glen Henderson, Hird has opted to stay at Bolton rather than move to City.

Sam Hird, the most recent frontrunner for the York City FC managerial position, has turned down the job.

After being in conversations with Minstermen chairman Glen Henderson, Hird has opted to stay at Bolton rather than move to City.

It is expected that the new manager of the club will be announced on Friday, ahead of York’s clash with the high flying Wrexham on Saturday.
