York City FC Men’s side fell to defeat against Wealdstone in the National League at the weekend.

The defeat marked interim boss Mikey Morton’s first defeat in the games he’s taken charge of, as mid-table Wealdstone stuck three past the Minstermen.

Adam Crookes’ stoppage time consolation goal made the final score 3-1 to Wealdstone, as City draw even closer to the relegation zone.

York sit in eighteenth position in the league, ahead of nineteenth placed Yeovil on goal difference and only two points clear of relegation, with 20th placed Dorking having a game in hand to City. Mikey Morton’s men now face a quick turnaround ahead of tomorrow night’s fixture against playoff hopefuls Boreham Wood.
