Richardson will join up with the Minstermen for the remainder of the 2024/25 season.
The 21-year-old forward began his career through the youth setup at Burnley where he worked his way up through the ranks to earn himself a spot in the senior team back in 2021. He made his professional debut that same year when he came off the bench to face Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League.
Experienced at England U16’s and 17’s level, Lewis joined League Two Grimsby Town on loan for the first half of the 2022/23 season where he went onto feature 15 times for the Mariners, scoring twice. One of those coming in the club’s historic FA Cup Quarter Final run that season.
Speaking on his arrival, Lewis said “I’m absolutely delighted to be here, I’ve been around for the last few days now and the lads have really helped me settle in.
“It’s a nice group of lads; the staff as well have really made it easy. I’m enjoying being here and can’t wait to get started on the pitch.”
