York City fell to defeat away at Aldershot on Saturday. An early strike from the Shots and a first half red card for new signing Alex Hurst hurt York’s fortunes, and despite a second half equaliser from captain Lennel John-Lewis, the ten man York couldn’t hold on and Aldershot came out as 2-1 victors.
The now 8th placed Minstermen will next welcome Chesterfield to the LNER Community Stadium on Tuesday evening. Chesterfield sit third in the National League, however have lost three of their last five games, form that City will be looking to take advantage of in the mid-week.
