York City Ladies were back in action tonight, facing first placed Leeds United Ladies in a Yorkshire derby.

The match was the Minsterbelle’s first in the LNER Community Stadium, which sold well over 2000 tickets on an occasion that the ladies were able to rise to, as Jess Holder scored in a well fought

one-all draw against their high-flying opposition. York’s full attention will now be on the FA cup, with

their next match seeing them face Ponteland United at the weekend.
