York City played out a 1-1 draw with the Chesterfield FC.

A Mitch Hancox goal eleven minutes from time cancelled out the visitors’ early strike and earned City a well-deserved point.

York City played out a 1-1 draw with the high-flying Chesterfield FC.

The Minstermen welcomed Chesterfield to the LNER Community Stadium looking to bounce back from their away loss at the weekend against Aldershot, and a Mitch Hancox goal eleven minutes from time cancelled out the visitors’ early strike and earned City a well-deserved point.

York will be looking to get all three points on Saturday when they entertain Southend United at the LNER.

Southend is only one position above City in the National League, however, are unbeaten in their last seven league matches.
