North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service say they were called alongside the police and paramedics to the river Foss close to Clifford’s Tower in the early hours this morning (January 30).
Two burglars who caused thousands of pounds worth of damage to a York wine bar have been jailed.

Billy Johnson, 27, and Daniel James Butler, 30, left £5,000 in damage behind them as they cycled off with a till drawer from Pairings Wine Bar in Castlegate, York Magistrates' Court heard.
